Viking rock carvings from the Bronze Age

 At Norsk Folkemuseum, or the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History as it is called in English, you can experience and learn about traditional Norwegian culture and history. You truly need at least half a day to see everything there is to see here.

Norwegian Forestry Museum

 The Norwegian Forestry Museum is the national museum of forestry, hunting, trapping and fresh water fishing. There is also a nature information center, a fresh water aquarium and nature dioramas with various stuffed native wildlife, inculding a mammoth. Open air collections, a large arboretum, a play area and a watercourse park.

 A few days after the opening of the Opera House in Oslo. My father invited my wife and I for a stroll on the opera. I was truly impressed with the design and how nice it looked in the dark.

 The museum is situated on the island of Radøy which is about 1 hours drive north of Bergen. Here you can enter many authentic buildings brought to Norway from Iowa and Minnesota.
